Kysymys on kaikessa yksinkertaisuudessaan siitä että rahaa voi synnyttää muillakin keinoin kuin luomatta velkaa.
Kysymys on siitä että nykyinen yksityisomisteinen pankkijärjestelmä luo rahaa tyhjästä velkapapereita vastaan. Tämä ei ole suuren enemmistön etujen mukaista. Rahauudistusta on vaadittu jo toistastaa vuotta eri tahojen sunnalta.

**Tästä selviää että kirjeen oli allekirjoittanut joukko valveutuneita ja huolestuneita kansalaisia - peräti 32 henkilöä. Näide joukossa oli yksi Nobel-palkittu ja useita muita oman aikansa arvostettuja.
