Stephen Zarlenga videolla

Zarlenga kysyy: Mitä jos ne 3000 miljardia dollaria olisikin jaettu tasan USA:n kansalaisten kesken eikä työnnetty finanssisektorin ammottaviin pohjattomiin reikiin.

WHAT IF just 3 trillion of the bailout money had gone to the people instead of banks? With $9,800 per person mortgages would be paid, cars bought, and jobs maintained. There would be no financial crisis. Why do only banks, who caused the crisis, get free money from the very people they have hurt?

Stephen Zarlenga is Director of the American Monetary Institute and author of: The Lost Science of Money. Zarlenga works with Rep. Kucinich on The American Monetary Act. This proposed legislation is designed to resolve the banking crisis. Look up the draft at www.monetary.org

Toisessa Zarlenga kertoo lyhyesti American Monetary Act-lakialoitteen sisällöstä ja perustelee tärkeimmät kolme kohtaa.
-keskuspankki FED siirretään treasury´n eli USA:n valtiovarainministeriön hallintaan.
-pankkien mahdollisuus luoda rahaa tyhjästä lopetetaan kerralla muuttamalla kirjanpitolakia.
-valtio/hallitus/eduskunta ryhtyy pankkien sijasta luomaan rahaa.

Video 2.

Huomaa mitä Zarlenga sanoo siitä miten Bank of England kansallistettiin 1946 ja miten kaikki siellä jäi puolitiehen. Silloin vielä 50% rahasta oli julkista. Nyt enää 2-3% rippuen maasta.

Stephen Zarlenga works with Rep. Kucinich on The American Monetary Act, designed to resolve the banking crisis. This clip from a longer film defines 3 steps: In addition to nationalizing the Fed. and removing the power of banks to create money as debt out of thin air, the Act reminds us of the Constitution, Article I, Sec. 8, that states that our government has the sovereign power to issue money and spend it into circulation. Whatever you think about point 3 - the government could not possibly do any worse than the banks.
Our money is made by accounting privilegies that the banks have. Our money is thus privately created by the banks.

Steven Zarlenga : Aiheena raha

Radiohaastattelu missä Steven Zarlenga kertoo mielenkiintoisia asioita. YouTube video-osia kaikenkaikkiaan kuusi. Tämä sarja löytyi erään Stefan Anderssonin sivuilta:
http://stan.myhood.se/?page_id=301

Osa 1.

Argumentointi jatkuu osassa kaksi.

Osa 2.

Kakkososassa Zarlenga toteaa rahan olevan yksityisten pankkien omaisuutta. Ratkaisu on American Monetary Act. (AMA) Kansan tulisi vaatia muutosta. Kongressissa säälittävä tilanne.

Osa 3.

Chicago plan 1930-luvulla. Kaikki Federal Reserve Pankit kansallistettava, Fractional Reserve banking toimintamalli lakkautettava. Nykyisessä AMA:ssa on kolme perusuudistusta: 1. Fed osaksi valtiovarainministeriötä. 2. Bankit eivät enää saa myydä luottoa - vaan 100% rahaa. Näin raha ei katoa vaan on pysyvää. 3. Infrastrukturia on rakennettava valtion velattomalla omalla julkisella rahalla. Raha luodaan omin luvin ilman pankkien apua.

Yksityispankkin luoton pääoma poistuu lainaa maksettaessa takaisin markkinoilta.

Osa 5.

Tuottaako rahan painaminen inflaatiota.

Osa 6.

Saksan hyperinflaatiosta vielä. Brittien rahanväärentäminen sotatoimena on ollut hyvin yleistä 200 vuoden aikana. Zarlenga mainostaa kirjaansa "The Lost Science of Money" niin ymmärrämme miksi bail-out tempaukset ovat kaikkea muuta kuin finanssikriisin ratkaisemista.

*

Zarlenga:

“The actual history of government control over money shows a far superior record to private control. There is a mythology – a reigning error – that government issued money has been irresponsible, and inflationary. But this is the result of decades, even centuries of relentless propaganda, and is contradicted by the historical facts. The Continental Currency is attacked, without discussion that while our government authorized $200 million and issued $200 million (plus replacement notes), the Brits successfully counterfeited untold $billions. They did the same for the French Assignats – the details became public when the counterfeiters sued each other in the English courts.

The American Greenbacks are smeared as worthless inflation money when in fact our government authorized $450 million and printed exactly $450 million; and every greenback eventually exchanged one for one with gold coinage – but very few people bothered to exchange them!

The German hyperinflation is cited by the private money gang without pointing out that the German Reichsbank was privately owned and controlled, or that the hyperinflation began the month that all governmental influence over the Reichsbank was removed on the insistence of the allied occupiers. These and other cases are described in The Lost Science of Money book.”

Steven Zarlenga, AMI: Welcome Message

Onnistuin sittenkin lataamaan Zarlengan tervetuliaispuheen blogille.

Tässä linkki Zarlengan lempilapseen, lakialoitteeseen nimeltä The American Moneary Act -jonka myötä Zarlengan kaavailemat rahapoliittiset uudistukset esitetään kongressille.

Eikä pidä unohtaa toista lempilasta, lakialoitetta nimeltä The Monetary Transparency Act
jonka myötä vuorostaan pyritään murtamaan keskuspankin salailusinetti. Tällä Federal Reserve System joutuisi kongressin valvontaan ellei jopa holhoukseen. [ja tämä on hyvä asia tietysti]

The Lost Science of Money: Kauan Kadotettu Rahatietous

Olen tällä blogilla pariinkin otteeseen ohimennen tainnut mainita American Monetary Institute, sen johtaja Steven Zarlenga sekä tämän kirjan The Lost Science of Money.

Richard C. Cook on arvostellut Zarlengan kirjaa The Lost Science of Money - ja toteaa omana mielipiteenään sen olevan yksi aikamme tärkeimmistä kirjoista.

Stephen Zarlenga, the director of the American Monetary Institute, has written a book entitled The Lost Science of Money, which is one of the most important books published in the world in the past 200 years. Someday it will be recognized for the classic that it is. The fact that many of the ideas seem unfamiliar only shows how lost the science of money really has become. This review will demonstrate that monetary reform along the lines Zarlenga recommends could transform the economy of the world into a system that would benefit everyone, not just the monetary plutocrats who preside over the globalistic cannibalism that runs amok today.

Today everyone in public life or academia takes it for granted that the monetary system nominally presided over by the Federal Reserve is the only one ever conceived by the mind of man that is safe, functional, worth having, or even possible. I suppose we assume that the near-panic that grips the minds of millions of people every time the Federal Reserve contemplates an interest rate hike is the way Almighty God intended human beings to live on this good earth. But then again, maybe not. In his book, The Lost Science of Money, Stephen Zarlenga has proven once and for all how wrong these assumptions are, how rotten and ill-conceived this system really is, and how a few basic reforms could make an enormous difference in the life of the people of our nation and the world.

Lue loput englanniksi.
Dr. Michael Hudson wrote:
"The history of money is critical to understanding the greatest problem the third millennium will face. Stephen Zarlenga's Lost Science of Money book provides the needed background for seeing the basic structural issues at work.”

Zarlenga: Kulta on osa ongelmaa ei ratkaisua

Steven Zarlenga on American Monetary Instituten (AMI)johtaja ja kirjailija. Hänen kirjoittamansa kirja on paksu monisatasivuvuinen rahahistoriallinen eepos The Lost Science of Money.

THE QUESTION OF GOLD
When you started off, you were thinking that gold was part of the solution. When you finished, 12 years later, why had your ideas changed?

One of the wonderful things about doing this kind of research is what you learn, and I learned that gold was not a part of the answer. In the historical studies, you could see that gold was part of the problem that the banking establishment -- we could call it the financial oligarchy, whatever form it was taking -- was able to easily manipulate.

Aristotle gave us the science of money. Del Mar gave me the keys to rediscover it. That science was laid out by Aristotle when he summed it up in one sentence. He said, money "exists not by nature, but by law." So he is telling us that money is not something that comes out of a mine. It is something that comes out of society. It is a legal power of society, and that was quite different from where I had started.

Aristoteles opetti meille "ettei raha tule luonnosta vaan lakipykälistä".

What would you say to those "gold bugs" who say that gold is a good investment. For example, you hear them say "50 years ago one bar of gold could buy a £5,000 pound house. Today, that same bar of gold will buy the same house, even though the house is now worth £50,000."

I would say to the gold people, "Look up the history of the price of gold because it is just not true!" What we find by looking at the gold prices is that gold is extremely volatile. I've published, in the book, what happens to gold during different periods. We have periods where gold and silver lost 80% of their value and never recovered, for example from 1500-1650, where gold was being stolen from the Central and South American Indians. Essentially the money supply of Europe rose about 4 times and the value of gold dropped 80% during that period.

Now some would say, "Oh that is going way back to the 16th and 17th centuries." Well, OK, lets go back to 1918 through 1926, 27. We had the value of gold dropping 60% in just a short period. So, that was a gold inflation in the modern times. So the gold bugs should understand that gold is volatile. It moves up fast, it moves down fast.

Even more recently, go to 1981. Gold was at $880 an ounce. It dropped down over a period of 15 years to $232 an ounce. Gold is volatile. Now the gold bugs try to say, "Well, that is not really gold changing. That's the dollar changing." But that is crazy. The dollar didn't change that much. Gold is volatile -- it's a fact.

What do these gold bugs want? Do they want the currency to be tied to gold?

They don't have a clear solution. They talk about "going back to a gold standard". But we never really had that! Even when they think there was a gold standard, it was always mixed with bank paper. And the reason for that is demonstrated eloquently by William Hixson in his 1993 book The Triumph of the Bankers, where he shows that the production of gold does not keep up with population growth. So if you are going to base the money system on gold, you have constant deflation, that is, constant increases in the value of money.

Kullan määrä ei tietenkään seuraa väestönkasvua - kultakannasta seuraisi deflaatiota eli rahan arvon jatkuvaa nousua.

The problem the gold people have is that they are confusing money with wealth. Aristotle's definition separates money from wealth. If you don't separate money from wealth, if you define money as wealth, then the wealthy are going to control not only their own money, they are going to control the monetary system -- which belongs under societal control. It should not be controlled by particular interest groups, or cliques or so- called elites.

So, the mistake is a psychological one. They are confusing their investments with money.

Eli ongelma on "kultabugien" ajatusmaailmassa. Nämä yksinkertaisesti sekoittavat sijoitukset rahaan.

Katkaisen kultakritiikin tähän. Artikkeli kuitenkin jatkuu. Palaan vielä sen muihin osiin myöhemmissä postauksissa.

Päivitys: tässä yksi näkemys Zarlengan kirjasta The Lost Science of Money.

"The take-over of the economy by bankers has thus required the suppression of much of our history and literature, beginning with Aristotle and Plato who were explicit on the distinction between the two aspects of money. There were always two distinct and incompatible ways of appraising the precious metals – as plain commodities, and as money or proto-money where the value was what the monarch stamped on a sample of the metal. Treating money as a simple commodity thus requires a high degree of obfuscation."

Dennis Kucinich ja Steven Zarlenga

As Congressman Dennis Kucinich said in his election victory speech:

"We have to look at the role of the Federal Reserve...That isn't a Democratic or Republican issue. Its an issue that relates to whether were going to control our own government. The Banks took over the government with the bailout. We borrowed money from the banks to give to the banks so they could offload their toxic debt or hoard the money or use the money to buy other banks! Our country is in jeopardy because of this and the only way out is to take a new look at the way we create money in our society...we have to not only prime the pump of the economy the way Roosevelt did but we also have to look at the structures in our society that are causing this acceleration of wealth upwards."

Kucinichin esittelemä Steven Zarlenga on American Monetary Instituten johtaja ja American Monetary Act-lakialoitteen takapiru. Tämä laki loisi maahan uuden talousdemokraattisen finanssijärjestelmän missä velkapohjainen järjestelmä muutettaisiin luottopohjaiseksi. (..to a credit based monetary system)

Tässä ote Zarlengan viimeisesti uutiskirjeesta liittyen G20 kokoukseen:

What do you get when a religion masquerades as a science?
You get what's know today as "Economics!"
Why do we identify it as a religion?
Because it is a belief system based on faith,
Where enshrinement of those beliefs is independent of evidence, pro or con;
Where its bad effects are regularly dismissed as "anecdotal;"
Where it's high priests, the economists, such as Ludwig Von Mises, assert that their theories (beliefs) cannot be dis proven by mere facts (!);
And where they actually get away with those statements that are so destructive to sound thinking methodology.

A recent example is the official 18 point statement released by the G20 group of countries after their emergency meeting last Weekend (Nov. 15th and 16th). Lawmakers and citizens should regard it as an insult to the intelligence of all thinking and working Americans.

Most of its' 16 points refer to actions that common sense and decency would have required them to have already been performing, especially over the past lawless decade. So it all reads much like closing the gates after the thundering herd has run off. The first reaction to it is therefore "yeah sure," followed by a big yawn. But its worse than that. Particularly points # 2 and # 12, quoted below from the official G-20 Statement on Financial Markets and the World Economy:

2. Over the past months our countries have taken urgent and exceptional measures to support the global economy and stabilize financial markets. These efforts must continue. At the same time, we must lay the foundation for reform to help to ensure that a global crisis, such as this one, does not happen again. Our work will be guided by a shared belief that market principles, open trade and investment regimes, and effectively regulated financial markets foster the dynamism, innovation, and entrepreneurship that are essential for economic growth, employment, and poverty reduction.

This is horrible. They are saying that one of the main causes that facilitated the problem – the notion of so called free market ideology – must still reign unchallenged. This while the only reason anything is still standing in their ridiculous financial world is because of our government.

And they do it again in point # 12:

12. We recognize that these reforms will only be successful if grounded in a commitment to free market principles, including the rule of law, respect for private property, open trade and investment, competitive markets, and efficient, effectively regulated financial systems. These principles are essential to economic growth and prosperity and have lifted millions out of poverty, and have significantly raised the global standard of living. Recognizing the necessity to improve financial sector regulation, we must avoid over-regulation that would hamper economic growth and exacerbate the contraction of capital flows, including to developing countries.

There's that old destroyer again – "Free market principles." Its their heavy artillery in the class warfare those who these people represent are committed to. You see how desperate they are to bolster this ideology. But Greenspan has effectively destroyed it (Thanks Alan!). See or request my recently sent essay on Greenspan's Admission of Methodological Error.
